Today, Icelanders celebrate Þorláksmessa, or St. Þorlákur’s Mass, a day for finishing Christmas decorations or doing a bit of last-minute shopping for gifts. To accommodate the latter, many shops stay open late into the evening and the streets fill with people in a festive holiday spirit. Why not join them?
